Green Tara Thangka — Large Format, Nepal

This large-format thangka depicts Green Tara in Newar Tibetan Buddhist iconographic style, hand-painted on cotton canvas with natural mineral pigments. The composition follows standard Green Tara iconography: the seven-point form with the right leg extended in the royal ease posture, one face and two hands holding a lotus. Large Nepal thangka format with extensive use of gold leaf on background and figure elements.

• Canvas: Large-format cotton with traditional gesso preparation
• Pigments: Natural mineral pigments — malachite green, vermilion, ultramarine, gold — applied in layered washes
• Gold: Gold leaf on deity jewelry, halo, and background field
• Mounting: Heavy wooden dowels; wide silk border
