Rainbow Glaze Mala Beads

This mala is made from glass beads with a rainbow iridescent glaze finish, hand-strung on durable cord. The rainbow glaze creates a shifting color effect on the bead surface — pale base glass coated with a thin iridescent layer that reflects different hues at different angles. The beads are uniform in size and shape. A guru bead and silk tassel or braided cord finish the strand.

Materials:

• Rainbow glaze glass beads: Glass base with an iridescent glaze coating; the rainbow effect shifts between blue, green, and pink tones depending on viewing angle; beads are uniform in size
• Cord: Durable braided cord; ends finished with silk tassel or braided cord
• Guru bead: Single larger bead at the mala’s terminus

Use:

The beads are used for counting during mantra recitation or meditation practice. The standard count is 108 beads; the guru bead marks the starting and ending point.

Use and Handling:

• Avoid impact that could chip the glaze surface
• Wipe with a dry cloth; avoid abrasive materials
• Store in a jewelry pouch or mala bag when not in use

Note: The rainbow glaze effect may fade over time with heavy use. Every mala is consistent in bead size due to the manufacturing process.

Care Instructions

Crystal and agate are durable for normal wear, but they can still chip, scratch, or lose their polish if handled roughly.

• Avoid impact: Remove before exercise, heavy work, or any activity where the piece may be knocked against a hard surface.
• Keep away from chemicals: Avoid perfume, lotion, hairspray, bleach, and household cleaners.
• Clean gently: Wipe with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately. Do not soak.
• Avoid sudden temperature changes: Extreme heat, cold, or rapid changes may damage some stones.
• Store separately: Use a soft pouch or lined box so harder stones and metal parts do not scratch other pieces.

Color, translucency, inclusions, and pattern vary naturally from stone to stone.
